The Art of Story – Writing Structure
If you write stories, you need structure. But what does that even mean? A formula? A set of rude mechanics? Or something that is, in itself, natural, beautiful and profound? Robin Mukherjee, an award winning writer whose work spans theatre, radio drama, television and film, will seek to demystify this apparently tricky aspect of the literary arts. His recent works include the BAFTA nominated children’s drama, ‘Combat Kids’, the feature film ‘Lore’, which has won numerous international awards, Judge Dee, and Hetty Feather. His book, ‘The Art of Screenplays’ has been acclaimed worldwide as an essential guide to writing in all media. He is a lecturer in creative writing at Bath Spa University.
